Description
A matched set is the fastest route to a finished-looking surface. These five pieces share one deep peacock glaze, so the group reads as a single object from across the room: three footed bowls stepping up in size, flanked by two candle holders that lift the light above the fruit.
The matte glaze is the reason it works in both a dark and a light room – it absorbs light rather than reflecting it, so the colour shifts from near-black teal in shadow to a brighter sea green in daylight. Use the whole set on a mantel or dining table, or split it: the large bowl on a console, the small one in a bathroom holding soap, the candle holders wherever you eat.

Material & finish
The set is thrown in stoneware, which is heavier and more chip-resistant than earthenware, then finished in a matte peacock glaze that breaks slightly on the edges of the foot and rim – that thin line of lighter clay is what tells you a piece is glazed by dipping rather than sprayed. The interiors are fully glazed and food safe; the foot rims are left raw so the pieces sit flat without sliding.
