Description
A runner does something a rug cannot: it draws a line through a narrow space and makes a hallway feel deliberate. This one is stonewashed linen, which means it already has the soft, slightly rumpled hand that normally takes a year of use to develop – and it keeps getting softer.
The blush stripe is woven in rather than printed, so it stays crisp as the linen relaxes, and the hand-knotted fringe at each end gives it a finished edge. At 220 gsm it is heavy enough to lie flat on its own but light enough to wash at home when the season turns.

Material & finish
Stonewashing is what makes linen feel like linen rather than a crisp sheet: the fabric is tumbled with pumice before it is cut and sewn, which relaxes the fibres and takes the stiffness out. The stripes are woven into the cloth with contrasting yarn, so they will not crack or peel the way a printed stripe does. The fringe is knotted by hand at both short ends and holds up to washing.
