Description
Block-printed stripes have a character that screen-printed ones do not: the edges are slightly soft, the spacing shifts by a millimetre or two, and you can feel where the block met the cloth. On this cover the stripes run vertically across a natural white ground, with a hand-gathered ruffle around all four sides.
It is the kind of cushion that lifts a plain sofa without demanding a whole new colour scheme – the red is saturated but not loud, and the white ground keeps it light. The hidden zip means the finish stays clean from the back, which matters more than you would think on an armchair.

Material & finish
The cover is woven cotton printed with carved wooden blocks, one stripe at a time. That process is why the stripes have a faintly irregular edge and why no two covers are identical – the pressure of the hand varies. The ruffle is cut from the same cloth and gathered by hand, so it sits softly rather than standing up stiffly.
