Description
A single stem in the right vase does more for a room than a dozen flowers in the wrong one. This rectangular ikebana vase is designed for exactly that: nine pierced holes across the top hold stems at the angle you choose, so one branch can lean out over a shelf the way a branch does in a garden.
The finish is a matte whitewash with a chalky, weathered surface that looks at home next to stone, raw wood and plaster. It holds water for fresh flowers and stays completely dry for dried ones, which means it can stay on the same shelf through every season – just swap what is in it.
Product highlights
- Nine pierced holes in the top hold stems upright, so a single branch stands exactly where you want it
- Watertight stoneware: works for fresh stems and dried ones alike
- Matte whitewashed finish with a weathered, plaster-like texture
- Compact rectangular footprint – 12 x 8 cm fits a windowsill, shelf or desk corner
- Deep enough (22 cm) to hold tall stems without tipping
- No flower frog, no tape, no wire – the vase does the holding
Material & finish
The vase is formed in stoneware and finished with a matte whitewash that is wiped back by hand, so the surface keeps a chalky, plaster-like texture and the edges show a little more depth of tone. Because it is fired stoneware rather than earthenware, it holds water without weeping and has enough weight at 1.2 kg to stay upright under a tall branch.
